Things To Do Before I Turn 18

So, I'm doing this blog entry for the sake of having something to remind me what are the things I planned to do before my 18th birthday ^_^

- attend a college party
- visit South Korea and (hopefully) bump into my K-Pop bias! haha!
- watch a K-Pop concert
- attend a K-Pop event and be a total fangirl DONE :)
- have a boyfriend (seriously, I am one of those girls who consider themselves as NBSB)
- enroll in a Korean class
- buy my own gadget DONE :)
- have a slumber party in a friend's house
- have a picture with my K-Pop crush (is this one really achievable?)
- be able to dance in one of SNSD/2NE1's songs (choreography needed)
- talk to my crush, and look at him straight in the eyes (I really can't do this until now)
- organize my own event

I think I'm into you now...

You're the one I'm always thinking of...

When you are near, I don't know what to do or what to say...

I can't even look straight at your eyes...

But, when you are not around, I am always looking for you...

Ask my friends, they know all my thoughts about you. I know you are not aware with what I am feeling now, and I don't want you to know it.

You might just reject me, and THAT WILL HURT ME.

So, I will just stand here, and gaze at you.

I will create the distance from now on.

I know you are just being friendly, but the friendship you're creating might make me fall for you even more.

I think I will stop now.

I don't want to, but...

IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Cravings

I'm really fond of eating in cafes. I really like cakes, iced coffee, milk shakes, pastries...

plus, almost all of the cafes have really great ambiance.

It's so nice to just sit in a comfortable spot, and satisfy all your cravings. (you can even dream of meeting the guy of your dreams there)

or... gather your friends and share some random stories while sipping that frappe! ;)

Have a bite!

err... just a random thought. haha!

Having a long break seems to be a great way for a fresh start. Yes, fresh mind for new blog entries! Hopefully, I can post more entries from now on. There's a lot of things to dish! ;)

Little Miss Lovato

So yeah, you read it right. Demi Lovato!

I'm blogging about her since I am really a huge fan. And, she's my idol and my inspiration. She's my confidence booster. Because of her, I became more aware that girls are beautiful in our own ways. She's really a great motivator for every gal. ;)

This lass had her name in the spotlight in the Disney movie, Camp Rock and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, where she starred with the famous Jonas Brothers. She bonded with the brothers like their own sister, and they even helped in Demi's debut album, Don't Forget. Her second album is Here We Go Again where she proved that she's the talented girl with a great singing voice and songwriting skills.

Another movie she starred in was the Princess Protection Program which she did with long-time best friend Selena Gomez. The two were together since their Barney days.

In addition to that, Demi also appeared in Grey's Anatomy as a schizophrenic teen named Haley. Her acting here made my jaw drop, and she proved that she's a multi-faceted person. She is now currently in the Disney series Sonny With A Chance as the lead.

She even supported several charities and made the world a better place with her philanthropic acts. She's known for being against bullying because of what she experienced when she was younger.

Rumors also spread that she's undergoing eating disorders and cutting when she entered a treatment center, in the midst of The Jonas Brothers' Live in Concert. But that's just rumors. I know that she entered rehab for her own health. Anyways, she's baaaack! ;)

And for that, I am sharing some of my Lovatic collections here for Demi! Yaay!

Free poster in Total Girl! :)) I have lots! ;)

Another set of posters! Yeah, I really love posters with Demi in it. <3

Camp Rock CD and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam DVD

There's the Total Girl Special featuring all about Camp Rock! And of course, the other magazine covers of Demi.

A peek on what's inside. An intervie with Demi! (I wish I can interview her, too!)

And here's all about the BFFs. Love them both! They really look awesome together.

Another Demi interview, courtesy of Total Girl. :)

Sonny With A Chance. Demi, you're full of opportunities ;)

I love them when they're together. They're friends, right? (Forget the Miley vlog)

It's waaaaay too cool!!! :)))

Magazine covers again. Demi, you're the best! \m/

It's all about Demi! And this is my favorite feature article.

Don't judge me on my Lovatic fever. When Demi's on the cover, I have about 2 or 3 copies of the same magazine issues.

This is actually my first ever Camp Rock poster.

Demi, Demi, why so pretty?

Dead Ringer

I smiled. She smiled back. I looked at her, and she stared at me blankly. I checked her appearance, her form, her style. She looked like me, exactly like me. I saw her facade in front of me, but I did not even know if she cared. I couldn’t even touch her. All I could do was to gaze at her, with the glass separating us from our own worlds. She’s just made for the eyes...or made by my eyes. All she did was to be at her best, making me realize my physical flaws. Faking a smile really helped. She would be happy with that, even without knowing that I was breaking inside. I was hurt, but she did not even try to know. She stunned everyone with her cheerful smile, with the beam in her eyes, and with the naive face we always loved. She totally wanted attention; however she’s just the illusion.
But me, I’m made out of flesh...with blood, with soul. I was living my life. I did not know if she could live her own life trapped in glasses. I did not know how she always made me think about imperfections. I tried to detach myself from her, but she’s always following me. She was the one pulling me down when I was about to rise. I did see from her my shortcomings, even little cracks, little dents, little mistakes. I had my soul, my heart, and my mind. But, she was influencing me on my decisions, always. We couldn’t stop pretending things to be perfect, even if all else failed. We couldn’t stop because she wanted it, even if I was already tired of being the conceited perfectionist. She would not leave me.
I always see her, and as I look at her, I see myself.

Classical Novels...In or Out?

It's Friday...Friday...

Gotta get down on Friday...? (nah!)

Actually, Friday afternoons are usually my mall schedules. So after school today, I headed to the mall, and went straight to the bookstore.

It's really funny how the bookstore and the people looked. The shoppers were crowding in the Entertainment section, toy shelves, novelty items, and of course, on the cashier counters. People are really busy shopping for their luxuries, ahem... I mean needs. I even changed directions as I saw a family blocking my way. Really hassle.

I went to the Classical Novels section. Uh-oh. Ironic. I did not see anyone browsing the books there. I was the only one standing there looking for interesting "ancient" novels. Well, kinda good for me because I had the space, and I could even have the freedom to sit on the floor and look for worthy books I would buy.

Yes, I love classical novels. No, I'm not that too old. And another no, I don't consider myself old-fashioned.

For me, classical novels are the best ones. Well, they survived, and still flourishing up to now, or should I say, still being read by some as school requirements.

A lot of people will say that reading classical novels are so boring. Even my own best friend don't want to read a lot of novels in my shelf. She's much more inclined to contemporary ones. You know those chick flicks? Those are her favorites. I do own some copies, and read them. But, I still find my own peace while delving myself in classics. Not that I'm against those modern and contemporary writers. I still find a few of them worth reading. However, I am really sad thinking that a lot of people nowadays do not appreciate the masterpieces of the past. They know Shakespeare as a writer and poet. And that's it. Just a few people know Homer. Fewer people for Jane Austen, or even Frances Hodgson Burnett. (Maybe, it has to do with those Old English, hard-to-decipher terms)

People don't know that a lot of contemporary writers are inspired by these classical ones. They are the institution. They are the beginning.

I just want to pursue people on appreciating classical novels. But, if you're really a chick flick fan, go on. I'm not stopping you. I just want you to know that there's still published classical novels crowding on the bookstores and libraries, but not seen by many. I just want you to know that there's still books made centuries ago waiting for someone to pick them up and be read. I just want you to know that they're just there.

They are not in, but they used to be. They are interesting. Really amusing.
